Swedish-speaking IP Attorney

Abion is a European IP powerhouse with big ambitions, and we are now looking for a Swedish-speaking IP Attorney to join our team.

What You’ll Do

As an IP Attorney, you will play a crucial role in:

• • Delivering qualified and strategic legal advice with a focus on intellectual property law and representing clients in various legal contexts
  • Handling trademark and design prosecution, and applications, including strategy
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating IP-related agreements

• Assisting with legal advice in connection with intellectual property infringements, both offline and online
• Participating in both physical and virtual meetings with potential and existing clients, often in collaboration with the company’s other departments but also independently
• Maintaining continuous contact with clients, counterparty representatives, and authorities
• Conduct in-depth legal research and clearance searches

You will be involved in various projects, collaborating with our international team to ensure the highest level of brand protection services for our clients. Your working days will be diverse with a good mix of small and large projects, working closely with your colleagues in the Abion legal team based in Sweden and our other European offices as well as with other teams in the Abion family.

Who You Are

We would like you to have a law degree from an accredited university and 5-8 years of work experience from a law firm, in-house company position, or equivalent where you have worked with intellectual property law (trademarks, design, and copyright). You must be fluent in Swedish and English both orally and in writing. It is particularly advantageous if you have experience with customs enforcement.

• Proficiency in using legal research tools, databases, and software
• Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Experience with tracking billable hours accurately and ensuring accurate billing for work performed on cases and matters
